This Thursday might be our first game. If the nurse clears our paper work we will be playing against University H.S. @ University. The game will start at 3 I think. This is only a preseason game but hopefully we start off good and make it to the playoffs. Go Spartans!!!

New Season At HP!!!

It's a new year and a new year means a new baseball season at HP. I am really excited to start practice at HP. I am part of the Varsity team. I look forward to this year because we have a new coach and I think that we will learn a lot of new stuff and finish the season with a good record. We might even make playoffs. Hopefully our fans go out and support us at our games. Our season starts in March. Go Spartans!!!

“To succeed, we must first believe that we can.”

--Michael Korda

This quote by Michael Korda helps me out a lot. Every time I have a hard time trying to learn something new I tell myself, "I can do it." When I'm out there in the baseball field I practice hard and believe in myself. I believe that one day I will become a pro baseball player, practicing hard everyday.

Sportsmanship

Whenever you play a sport and you have a game, you have to show good sportsmanship. If you are winning or loosing, good sportsmanship will make your team look good. You have to respect the other team.
When I have a game against other schools our coach always tells us to show good sportsmanship. If you do not show good sportsmanship then your team will look bad. Showing good sportsmanship will help you build good character with other people. You will be nice to them and will not have a bad mood.

During the games, if the other team makes a good play, it is always good
to congratulate them on the play. It has happened to me before. when I make a good play and a player from the other team says, "damm, that was a good play." After they say that it is always good to say "thank you."

After every game, both of the teams line up and shake hands with each other and congratulate the other team. Everyone usually says, "good game." If you win or loose you still have to go up and shake hands. Good sportsmanship will help you in your life. Your attitude will be good and you will respect others.

My Thanksgiving Week

My Thanksgiving Week was fun. It could have been better but I still had fun. I spent most of the time in my house. It was my niece's birthday so we had a party for her on Saturday. It was fun being with the whole family.
On Monday and Tuesday I just stayed in my house relaxing. For the rest of the week I went to the park to practice with my friends. We played baseball for a couple of hours. On Tuesday, my sister went to the hospital because she was going to have a baby.
The baby was born on Wednesday. It was a girl.
On Thanksgiving Day, I helped my mom and sister stuff the turkey. It was fun. The house smelled really good. In the afternoon, my sister came home from the hospital. We were all happy that she was home with the baby. I had fun spending time with my family. We ate turkey and relaxed for a while. For Black Friday we didn't go shopping. My parents had to go to work. So I went to the park and played for a while. After I got home I was tir
ed.
On the weekend I just stayed home with my family. I enjoyed Thanksgiving. Hopefully next year is better.
